You might recognise

Experiences that may bring people to therapy

  • Certain memories, images, or body responses still feel vivid or hard to settle.
  • Triggers can feel out of proportion to what is happening in the present.
  • You experience flashbacks, nightmares, or intense emotional reactions connected to past events.
  • You are interested in a therapy approach that does not always require talking through every detail.
  • You want EMDR to be held within a careful, trauma-informed therapeutic relationship.

How therapy can help you explore this

EMDR supports the mind and body to reprocess distressing experiences in a structured and careful way. The work is paced so that memories can be approached without overwhelming the present.

For some people, EMDR sits alongside wider therapy that explores relationships, identity, nervous-system responses, and the meanings attached to what happened.

How I work

Suzy holds a certificate in EMDR with children and adolescents and draws on EMDR alongside psychodynamic, CBT, and somatic approaches. The work is trauma-informed and collaborative.

An introductory call offers a chance to discuss whether EMDR or another therapeutic approach may be appropriate to explore together.
